Dental Application Engineer (AE)

Shining 3D is seeking a skilled and motivated Dental Application Engineer (AE) to support our digital dentistry customers across both Pre‑Sales and Post‑Sales functions. This role plays a critical part in helping practices and labs adopt and succeed with our scanning, printing, and CAD / CAM workflows.

You will work closely with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Training teams to deliver exceptional customer experiences, provide technical expertise, and ensure smooth implementation and long‑term success with Shining 3D solutions. The ideal candidate combines strong technical skills with customer empathy, clear communication, and a passion for digital dentistry.

This role is fast‑paced, highly collaborative, and well‑suited for someone who enjoys problem‑solving, teaching, and supporting customers across a wide range of technical touchpoints.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

  • Provide customer‑facing sales support to resellers and end users.
  • Create internal and external technical user guides.
  • Provide technical training to resellers and end users.
  • Repair scanners and printers as needed.
  • Show empathy towards customer complaints and sensitive situations.
  • Communicate customer / reseller requests and complaints to R&D.
  • Evaluate new products and test new software / features.
  • Travel up to 30% of the time to assist customers / resellers on site and to attend exhibitions.

REQUIREMENTS :

  • Bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, mathematics, or a dental‑related field is highly preferred.
  • Strong troubleshooting, problem‑solving, and customer service skills.
  • CAD / CAM experience.
  • Bilingual (French and English) highly desired.
  • Ability to collaborate across technical and non‑technical teams.
  • Basic IT skills, file systems, software navigation.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs, use a computer with a mouse and keyboard, sit or stand for long periods.
  • Seniority Level : Mid‑Senior level
