Job Description – Control-M Administration

Job Summary

This role supports all aspects of Control-M administration and provides technical guidance to team members. You will manage escalated incidents, perform root cause analysis, and address both reactive issues (Incident Reports) and proactive business needs.

Contract length : Open contract (12 months +), could lead to extension or internalisation

Start date : ASAP

Calendar : US calendar

Location : Montréal (Hybrid model – up to 2 days WFH / week after 3 months)

Key Responsibilities

Configure, implement and support complex Control-M batch streams .

Support modernization efforts using Control-M integrations and Automation API.

Understand business requirements and design appropriate solutions.

Test and validate changes in the Control-M environment.

Ensure high-quality release standards.

Manage incidents and escalate to Management or third parties when needed.

Perform root cause analysis on P1–P4 incidents.

Collaborate with internal teams or external partners for change implementations.

Adhere to incident, problem, and change management procedures.

Ensure service performance meets established SLAs and quality expectations.

Requirements

Candidate Requirements

Education

Bachelor's or postgraduate degree in Computer Science / IT, or equivalent experience.

Experience

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Control-M administration.

Technical Skills

Strong knowledge of Control-M architecture .

Hands-on experience with Control-M v9.20 / v9.21 , including installation, configuration and DR procedures.

Experience with multiple Control-M releases and migrations.

Good understanding of Linux (basics).

Control-M Agent / AFT / Managed File Transfer

Windows 2016 / 2019 / 2022

Control-M Automation API

Folder & job creation / updates

Job ordering, conditions, quantitative resources

AFT profile components & jobs

Find and update commands on folders

Experience working with BMC Level 4 support .

Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.

Knowledge of ITIL (Incident, Problem & Change Management).

Experience with other file transfer products (CFT, Connect Direct, MQ Series, Secure Transport) is an asset.
