Job Description – Control-M Administration

Job Summary

This role supports all aspects of Control-M administration and provides technical guidance to team members. You will manage escalated incidents, perform root cause analysis, and address both reactive issues (Incident Reports) and proactive business needs.

Contract length: Open contract (12 months +), could lead to extension or internalization

Start date: ASAP

Calendar: US calendar

Location: Montréal (Hybrid model – up to 2 days WFH/week after 3 months)

Key Responsibilities

  • Configure, implement and support complex Control-M batch streams.
  • Support modernization efforts using Control-M integrations and Automation API.
  • Understand business requirements and design appropriate solutions.
  • Test and validate changes in the Control-M environment.
  • Ensure high-quality release standards.
  • Manage incidents and escalate to Management or third parties when needed.
  • Perform root cause analysis on P1–P4 incidents.
  • Collaborate with internal teams or external partners for change implementations.
  • Adhere to incident, problem, and change management procedures.
  • Ensure service performance meets established SLAs and quality expectations.

Requirements

Candidate Requirements

Education

Bachelor's or postgraduate degree in Computer Science / IT, or equivalent experience.

Experience

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Control-M administration.

Technical Skills

Strong knowledge of Control-M architecture.

Hands-on experience with Control-M v9.20 / v9.21, including installation, configuration and DR procedures.

Experience with multiple Control-M releases and migrations.

Good understanding of Linux (basics).

Experience working with BMC Level 4 support.

Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.

Knowledge of ITIL (Incident, Problem & Change Management).

Experience with other file transfer products (CFT, Connect Direct, MQ Series, Secure Transport) is an asset.

Requirements

We are looking for an experienced Control-M Administrator with at least 5 years of hands-on expertise in Control-M (including v9.20 / 9.21, AFT / MFT, and Automation API). The role involves managing complex batch environments, troubleshooting incidents, and supporting infrastructure upgrades. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
