The Unified Commerce Director is responsible for the vision, planning, implementation, and evolution of Groupe Amiel's omnichannel ecosystem. He or she ensures the consistency and integration of customer experiences, operations, and technologies across all touchpoints—e-commerce, stores, customer service, and digital platforms.

He or she will play a key role in deploying the unified commerce solution (Magento 2) and continuously improving business processes related to sales, customer experience, and omnichannel execution.

Primary responsibilities

Strategic leadership

  • Promote the vision of unified commerce within the organization.
  • Manage an omnichannel roadmap aligned with business priorities.
  • Ensure consistency between e-commerce, store, CRM, marketing, and customer service strategies.

Platform and project management

  • Collaborate on the evolution of the Magento platform and related technology integrations (ERP, POS, PIM, OMS, CRM).
  • Work closely with digital transformation teams, IT, and external partners.
  • Prioritize requests, manage backlogs, and ensure continuous delivery of improvements.

Optimizing the customer experience

  • Develop a seamless and consistent experience across channels (web, mobile, store, delivery).
  • Lead initiatives to improve conversion rates, customer retention, and overall shopping experience performance.
  • Oversee the development of omnichannel features: real-time inventory, 360-degree customer view, unified returns, cross-channel promotions, etc.

Performance and analysis

  • Define and monitor key indicators: web sales, margin, customer acquisition, campaign performance, user experience.
  • Analyze customer data and propose improvements based on concrete insights.
  • Ensure continuous optimization of operational processes related to unified commerce.

Interfunctional collaboration

  • Work with sales, marketing, purchasing, customer service, and IT to align processes and priorities.
  • Support store teams in omnichannel transformation initiatives.
  • Communicate progress, successes, and challenges to internal stakeholders.

Required skills and qualifications

  • Significant experience (10+ years) as an e-commerce, unified commerce, or digital transformation director.
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, digital commerce, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of Magento / Adobe Commerce environments (a major asset).
  • Knowledge of ERP (ideally Microsoft Dynamics NAV / Business Central) and POS systems.
  • Knowledge of a PIM (ideally Akeneo).
  • Excellent project management and coordination skills between internal and external partners.
  • Advanced analytical skills and mastery of e-commerce / omnichannel KPIs.
  • Knowledge of artificial intelligence adapted to e-commerce (an asset).
  • Motivational leadership, political savvy, and ability to work in a matrix environment.
  • Ability to explain technical subjects to diverse teams.
  • Results-oriented, structured, and highly operationally rigorous.
