Research Institute of the MUHC

The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI‑MUHC) is a world‑renowned biomedical and hospital research centre. Located in Montreal, Quebec, the Institute is the research arm of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University. The RI‑MUHC is supported in part by the Fonds de recherche du Québec – Santé (FRQS).

Position Summary

The Lands laboratory is developing lipid nanoparticles (LNPs) to deliver nucleic acids and small molecule therapeutics for a variety of disorders. We are seeking a research assistant to formulate and characterize LNPs for different projects within the RESP, Clinical and Translational Research program.

Responsibilities

  • Formulate, characterize and optimize LNPs using robotics liquid handlers, microfluidics systems, and LNP characterization platforms.
  • Assist with in vitro testing of LNPs.

Education and Experience

Education : Master's Degree. Field of Study : LNP formulation. Work Experience : 0‑1 years (beginner+).

Required Skills

Work in a team for coordination of formulation and testing. Experience in testing LNPs in vitro is an asset.

Additional Information

Status : Temporary, full time (35-hour workweek, 6‑month position). Pay Scale : $49,722.40 - $92,346.80 per year, commensurate with education and experience. Work Shift : Monday to Friday, 8 : 30am to 4 : 30pm. Work Site : GLEN Site, 1001 boul. Decarie.
