The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI‑MUHC) is a world‑renowned biomedical and hospital research centre, the research arm of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) and affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University. The RI‑MUHC is supported in part by the Fonds de recherche du Québec – Santé (FRQS).

Résumé du Poste

We are seeking an individual with experience in promoting equity, diversity and inclusion (EDI) in research. The candidate will implement the EDI plan for multicentre research studies and research teams involving all pediatric hospitals across Canada (POPCORN) and support other ongoing trials and studies related to child health equity.

Fonctions Générales

  • Assist in the planning and delivery of EDI and community of practice activities.
  • Assist in writing study protocols and manuscripts.
  • Manage the procedures with the Research Ethics Board and Contracts Office (protocol approvals, amendments and annual renewals).
  • Collaborate with national research team.
  • Engage with diverse stakeholders.
  • Design mixed‑methods and community‑based participatory research protocols.
  • Administer questionnaires.
  • Collect qualitative and quantitative data.
  • Analyze qualitative and quantitative data.
  • Conduct literature reviews (including systematic reviews and meta‑analysis).
  • Help oversee volunteers and trainees.
  • Assist in knowledge translation activities.

Éducation & Expérience

Éducation : Master’s Degree in Public Health, Epidemiology or another health‑related area.

Domaine d'Étude : Public health, epidemiology or another health‑related area.

Other Education Considered an Asset for this Position.

Expérience Professionnelle : 2 years of experience in health research.

Compétences Requises

  • Previous work experience in clinical research is essential.
  • Previous experience in mixed‑methods (quantitative and qualitative) research.
  • Previous experience in community‑based participatory action and co‑design research methods.
  • Previous experience in quality improvement methods is an asset.
  • Strong communication skills in both French and English (spoken and written) are essential.
  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Ability to multitask.
  • Previous experience with RI‑MUHC is an asset.
  • Previous experience working with multicultural communities is an asset.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and qualitative software (Word, Excel, NVivo).

  • Status : Temporary, full time (35‑hour workweek)
  • Pay Scale : $49,722.40 – $92,346.80 (commensurate with education and experience)
  • Work Shift : Monday to Friday 9 : 00 am to 5 : 00 pm
  • Work Site : 5252 boul. de Maisonneuve, Montreal, Quebec
