Senior Telecommunications Engineer - Outside Plant / FTTH - Hybrid

Job Description :

CIMA+ is looking for a Senior Telecommunications Engineer to join our team specializing in active and passive network infrastructures (outdoor networks, FTTH). You will play a strategic role in the planning, design and coordination of telecommunications projects.

Primary Responsibilities :

  • Ensure the technical design and production of plans and specifications for telecommunications projects, mainly in infrastructure architecture and outdoor networks (fiber optics, FTTH, backbone).
  • Supervise engineering deliverables in collaboration with in-house teams (engineers, technicians, draftsmen).
  • Participate in drawing up tender documents and analyzing proposals.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and project management: coordination of stakeholders, adherence to budgets and schedules.
  • Write technical and analytical reports, and participate in the development of innovative technological solutions.
  • Coach and support technical resources in their professional development.
  • Collaborate actively with customers, partners and stakeholders to ensure smooth and effective communication.

Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, telecommunications or related discipline.
  • Minimum of 10 years' relevant experience in telecommunications engineering.
  • Experience in large-scale deployment projects an asset.
  • In-depth knowledge of active networks such as telecommunications equipment, and external telecommunications networks (fiber optics, FTTH, backbone).
  • Proven experience in technical project management.
  • Member in good standing of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ).
  • Excellent communication skills, in both French and English: bilingualism is an essential requirement for this position, as it enables effective collaboration with our various stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in design tools and specialized software (AutoCAD, GIS, etc.) - an asset.
  • PMP certification - an asset.
