Position : Buyer – Chemical Products and Industrial Parts
Location : Montreal East – Hochelaga (hybrid mode)

Your daily responsibilities :
- Process and support purchase requests through Maximo and Business Central systems
- Manage chemical inventories and place required orders
- Monitor and analyze purchase orders and bids
- Negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best conditions and minimize risks for the company
- Evaluate existing suppliers and, when needed, onboard new ones
- Update and maintain ISO documentation related to the purchasing process
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and budget development
- Follow up on non-conformities with internal teams and suppliers
- Coordinate production tests for chemical products
- Work closely with the Finance team on budget management, explaining unit costs, market prices, and price adjustments
Profile sought :
- Bachelor’s degree in Administration and/or Certificate in Supply Chain Management
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a purchasing position, ideally in the food, industrial, or manufacturing sector
- Strong knowledge of maintenance parts (plumbing, electrical systems, packaging, construction materials) and chemical products
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros)
- Knowledge of ISO, HACCP, and FSSC22000 standards
- Proficient in French
Other Language Requirement : English
- Level of Proficiency Required : Advanced
- Reason for Language Requirement : To communicate effectively with sites and suppliers across Canada
- Frequency of Use : Daily (for various tasks)
