Position : Buyer – Chemical Products and Industrial Parts

Location : Montreal East – Hochelaga (hybrid mode)

Your daily responsibilities :

• Process and support purchase requests through Maximo and Business Central systems
• Manage chemical inventories and place required orders
• Monitor and analyze purchase orders and bids
• Negotiate with suppliers to obtain the best conditions and minimize risks for the company
• Evaluate existing suppliers and, when needed, onboard new ones
• Update and maintain ISO documentation related to the purchasing process
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and budget development
• Follow up on non-conformities with internal teams and suppliers
• Coordinate production tests for chemical products
• Work closely with the Finance team on budget management, explaining unit costs, market prices, and price adjustments

Profile sought :

• Bachelor’s degree in Administration and/or Certificate in Supply Chain Management
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a purchasing position, ideally in the food, industrial, or manufacturing sector
• Strong knowledge of maintenance parts (plumbing, electrical systems, packaging, construction materials) and chemical products
• Advanced proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros)
• Knowledge of ISO, HACCP, and FSSC22000 standards
• Proficient in French

• Frequency of Use : Daily (for various tasks)
