Java Developer

Overview

VARITE is looking for a qualified Java Developer for one of its clients located in Montreal, QC.

Responsibilities

• At least 6 years of professional experience as a Java developer.
• Strong experience with user interface design / development using Angular, React, JavaScript, etc.
• Familiar with AG Grid and Material. End-to-end web application development from frontend design, REST APIs to interact with the interface, data model to store / manage data.
• Understand modern architecture to build scalable applications.
• Design and develop APIs for data exchange; work with multiple data structures / formats e.g., JSON.
• Work in an agile squad as a contributor, collaborating with other developers toward a common goal. Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze and understand data.
• Experience in designing, developing, and testing end-to-end multi-tier systems. Strong knowledge of software development and the system implementation lifecycle.
• Experience developing, testing, and supporting multi-tier technology architectures.
• Strong experience in SQL; familiar with DB2 and MSSQL Server databases.
• Contribute to the strategy of asset management tools; design and implement features for a suite of asset management tools.
• Learn and apply new technologies, best design practices and usability patterns; contribute to end-to-end system architecture, working with specialists across the full stack.
• Collaborate with product managers and other technical teams to create optimized and delightful user experiences.
• Maintain source code quality, ensure adequate testing in development, provide code review feedback, and help establish team coding principles.

Skills & Qualifications

• Advanced Java concepts; Core Java.
• Experience required: 10+ years.
