What You Will Be Doing
- Study and monitor the competitive market.
- Prepare reports and action plans for all company stakeholders.
- Collect and thoroughly analyze data on consumer expectations and behavior.
- Identify growth and differentiation opportunities for Decathlon Canada through various research and analysis techniques.
- Develop tools to track recurring studies and international benchmarks.
- Participate in the quality control of databases and research resources.
- Identify relevant tools and use them to complete projects effectively and efficiently.
- Suggest improvements to optimize data collection, communication, and visualization.
- Develop trustworthy relationships with internal collaborators in other departments.
Requirements
- Relevant education and experience in marketing with a focus on market analysis techniques and market research (A Master’s degree in Marketing / Marketing Research is an asset).
- Previous experience in project management involving multiple units/departments.
- Possess a highly developed sense of analysis and discernment with great curiosity for various fields.
- Ability to synthesize information, target key messages, and communicate them effectively through storytelling.
- Recognized for creativity, boldness, and the ability to propose innovative solutions ("think outside the box") for business challenges.
- Skilled communicator (written/oral) who can adapt to various stakeholders and take on roles as a trainer or educator related to their professional field.
- Customer-focused with a collaborative approach, working well with internal partners and a global network of collaborators.
- Influential leader with empathy and listening skills towards team members.
- Bilingualism in French and English (written and spoken) is essential, as the role involves national-level interactions to ensure collaboration with teams across Canada and English-speaking teams.
- Knowledge of survey programming tools (e.g. Qualtrics).
- Knowledge of statistical analysis tools (e.g. Q Research, SPSS).
Our work policy requires that the selected candidate be able to work at our offices three days per week.
