Motion Designer

About the role :
Our team is hiring a Motion Designer to join our major hospitality client team. If you are excited about bringing your video and animation to a team that is looking to push the boundaries on work and create great experiences for customers, this is a great role for you. As a Motion Designer, you will be working closely with the creative team turning concepts into assets across various marketing campaigns. As an ideal candidate, you will have a strong background in motion design and some experience with video editing.
This role is fully remote but will need to work on Eastern Standard Time-zone.
What you will be doing :
- Handle multiple projects simultaneously and thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Accept feedback and iterate over designs in a highly-collaborative, low-ego team environment
- Direct a project from concept to completion; excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills are essential
- Ensure final deliverables exceed design and production requirements and expectations
- Work closely with art directors, designers and copywriters on full project life cycles
- Elevate the team's motion graphics capabilities through ownership, mentorship and technical guidance
- Create engaging videos for owned social media channels (both paid and organic), digital TV ads, sizzle reels, and in-room TV channel content
What you need to be great in this role :
- 4-5 years of design and animation experience
- Must provide portfolio showing strong video experience
- A love of design, motion graphics and storytelling
- Advertising experience strongly preferred
- Hospitality experience preferred but not essential
- Thorough knowledge of marketing principles and branding, along with a demonstrated track record of success and performance
- Expertise in design and animation across all platforms
- Must have excellent design, typography and layout skills. Attention to detail is critical
- Expertise in the Adobe Creative Suite: After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Premiere
- Familiarity with video editing principles and software (e.g., Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro) is a plus
- Curiosity, creativity, and ambition
- Must be hands-on and enjoy working with a team
- Base salary information may range from 80,750 CAD to 90,250 CAD; compensation varies based on location, responsibilities, experience, and qualifications. This range is one component of OLIVER’s total compensation package
