Position Summary
The Brand Designer will be responsible for shaping and maintaining the organization's visual identity. This role involves designing and refining brand assets, building brand guidelines, and ensuring consistency across all platforms. The Brand Designer will collaborate closely with the marketing team to translate the organization's mission and values into a cohesive and professional brand presence.
Position Responsibilities
Brand Identity Development
- Design and maintain the organization's core visual identity, including logos, color palettes, typography, and graphic elements.
- Develop and update brand guidelines to ensure consistent use across teams and platforms.
- Create templates for presentations, social media, and other recurring design needs.
Design Execution
- Apply the brand identity across digital and print materials (social graphics, posters, fundraising materials, event signage, merchandise).
- Collaborate with the content and marketing teams to ensure all visuals align with brand standards.
- Provide design support for campaigns, events, and community initiatives.
Creative Collaboration and Coordination
- Work with marketing and leadership to understand brand goals and translate them into visuals.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions for campaigns and initiatives.
- Support the social media team by ensuring visuals reflect the brand's tone and identity.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Strong understanding of typography, color theory, layout, and composition.
- Proficiency with design tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign), and/or Figma.
- Demonstrated design portfolio showcasing brand identity or graphic design work.
- Ability to create and maintain cohesive visual systems (logos, color palettes, templates, brand guidelines).
- Creative thinker with strong problem-solving skills to translate abstract ideas into visual storytelling.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills; comfortable working with content and marketing teams.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines consistently.
