As a Mid-Senior Level Asset Generalist, you will take a leading role in the creation of high-quality 3D assets across a wide range of projects. You’ll be responsible for delivering top-tier modeling, texturing, and look development for complex environments, props, vehicles, and/or occasionally creatures or characters. Beyond hands-on work, you'll also be expected to mentor junior artists, collaborate cross-departmentally, and help guide technical and creative approaches for asset development.

Responsibilities

• Take a leading role in the creation of high-quality 3D assets across a wide range of projects.
• Deliver top-tier modeling, texturing, and look development for complex environments, props, vehicles, and/or occasionally creatures or characters.
• Mentor junior artists and collaborate cross-departmentally.
• Help guide technical and creative approaches for asset development.

Requirements / Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience as an asset artist/generalist in high-end VFX.
• High level skillset in modeling, texturing, and look development.
• Strong sense of form, silhouette, proportion, and design, with a sculptural mindset.
• Proficient in ZBrush/Mudbox and Maya; knowledge of Houdini is a plus.
• Solid understanding of topology, edge flow, and geometry optimization for VFX.
• Familiar with asset tracking tools like ShotGrid (FLOW) or ftrack.
• Team-oriented, dependable under tight deadlines, and collaborative in fast-paced environments.
• Bonus: Experience in grooming, rigging, or environment layout.
• Must be a legal resident of Quebec as of Dec 31, 2024 — Ideally based in Montreal (no closed permits); remote work available within Quebec only (no exceptions).
