This position reports to senior leaders and contributes to shaping Canada’s accounting standards through evidence-based research and analysis.

Base pay range

CA$82,200.00 / yr - CA$95,870.00 / yr

What you’ll do

  • Conduct research on emerging accounting issues; summarize literature, practices, and external input to shape options and recommendations for the Board / Committees.
  • Explore projects beyond accounting, with exposure to public sector, sustainability, and assurance matters.
  • Plan and support outreach (e.g., virtual roundtables), summarize insights, and track follow-ups to keep projects moving.
  • Frame technical issues and options, assess implications, and draft recommendations that support Boards / Committee decision-making.
  • Draft briefing documents that enable timely, high-quality decisions by Boards / Committees.
  • Analyze consultation feedback (qualitative and quantitative), extract themes, and translate insights into recommendations.
  • Create clear communications, such as presentations, web content, and summaries, to share developments.
  • Maintain project plans and trackers to report progress, risks, and decisions.

What you bring

  • CPA designation with a minimum of 2+ years of experience.
  • Intellectual curiosity with strong critical thinking and structured problem-solving.
  • Project discipline and follow-through: you deliver high-quality work on time.
  • Natural communicator: you have an instinct for clarity and can make complex topics understandable for any audience.
  • Proactive, collaborative teammate: you are comfortable working independently and across functions.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Bilingualism in English and French is a strong asset.
