Job Description

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, you will be responsible for the design, creation, implementation, and success of the Company’s marketing strategy. You will design and implement short- and long-term marketing strategies to achieve the company’s objectives, with a strong focus on conversion and results. You will prepare marketing materials to support business development, manage the marketing team, and participate in setting marketing budgets. The role requires leadership with experience and creativity to blend traditional marketing methods with digital strategies, including SEO, social media, influencers, Google Ads, and more. You will create and execute a high-impact marketing plan measured by success (conversion).

What You’ll Do

  • Design a comprehensive marketing plan and strategy to attract users and increase registrations to the company’s application.
  • Revise and implement innovative short- and long-term marketing strategies focused on increasing registrations.
  • Design, present, build and roll-out a marketing strategy combining digital and traditional methods.
  • Plan and execute a strategy to extend the service offer into the US market.
  • Present the results of marketing campaigns to the executive management team bi-weekly.
  • Manage a team of 2 and external service providers for the marketing department.
  • Identify tools to efficiently manage the marketing function (campaign management, website maintenance, etc.).
  • Maximize ROI and manage CAC effectively.
  • Collaborate with other departments including business development, operations, technology and finance.
  • Demonstrate a proven track record in driving awareness and conversion for a new digital application.
  • Leverage a professional network to achieve success.
  • Build and present a detailed KPI report each month.

Must haves

  • A minimum of 10 years of senior-level digital and traditional marketing & communications experience leading multi-faceted initiatives, including at least five years in management, preferably in a fast-paced, start-up, high-growth environment.
  • Proven experience designing, building and implementing a blend of digital and traditional marketing campaigns.
  • Proven success marketing SaaS-type applications and digital products.
  • Creativity, results-orientation, and self-drive.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proven experience with CMS & CRM tools.
  • Exceptional writing, communication and presentation skills; experience working with ad agencies.
  • Strong problem-solving and cross-team collaboration in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Hands-on approach in a demanding role with energy, relationship-building and staff development.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or equivalent.

Nice to haves

  • Expertise in digital marketing strategy creation, conception and implementation.
  • Experience with traditional advertising forms.
  • Proven portfolio of complex marketing strategies tied to a SaaS product.
  • International experience in Canadian and US markets.
  • Experience managing a team.
  • Bilingual (English & French).
