Job Summary

Under the supervision of the Director of Sales & Marketing, the Account Manager plays a key role in managing, developing, and growing Bitumar's roofing products segment. The role involves maintaining strong business relationships with clients and industry partners while developing new opportunities.

The territory mainly covers Quebec and Ontario, with occasional interventions elsewhere in Canada and the United States. The goal is to strengthen Bitumar's leadership position, promote its products, and increase market visibility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and increase sales volume of roofing products.
  • Identify and analyze customer needs and propose tailored solutions.
  • Prepare, negotiate, and present business proposals.
  • Develop new business opportunities and markets.
  • Maintain regular customer contact, ensure follow-up, and resolve issues when needed.
  • Collaborate closely with Operations, Credit, and Billing to ensure an optimal customer experience.
  • Participate in developing sales and marketing strategies.
  • Ensure proper management of accounts receivable in collaboration with Finance.
  • Conduct market studies and monitor roofing industry trends.
  • Represent Bitumar at conferences, seminars, trade shows, and industry events.
  • Promote products to specifiers, government organizations, educational institutions, and roofing companies.
  • Contribute to the development and updating of the company's website and promotional materials.
  • Manage the company's presence on traditional and digital media.
  • Build and maintain strategic partnerships within the roofing market.
  • Optimize profitability and product margins through adapted strategies.
  • Perform any other related duties as required.

Requirements

  • College and/or university degree relevant to the position.
  • Knowledge of the construction and bitumen industry (strong asset).
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in sales and representation of industrial products.
  • Bilingualism (French and English), spoken and written.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Valid passport.
