Responsibilities

• Lead and support the Animation Director and Animation Supervisor(s). Provide animation footage to production, with a focus on guidance to their team.
• Work is both artistic and technical, including assisting during pre-production with animation tests, providing rigging feedback, and helping ensure consistency of character animation style, intent and movement.
• Provide feedback to animators to maintain consistency and offer support and guidance on animation techniques, reference materials, and the communication and resolution of technical ideas or issues.

Job Requirements / Must Haves

• Extensive experience in high-level VFX animation (4-6 years).
• Senior Animator experience on at least 3 feature-length productions.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Strong technical knowledge of MAYA and solid understanding of other departments.
• Limited experience with scheduling for leading sequences.
• Knowledge of timing, posing, acting and storytelling techniques.
• Ability to solve visual and analytical problems in 3D space and to interpret and analyze 3D layouts and forms.

Union note : This is a unionized position and will be covered by a collective agreement between DNEG and IATSE. As a unionized employee, you will be required to join the union and will benefit from the conditions in the collective agreement. Salary Range : 92,000 - 145,000 CAD

Description du poste / Objectif principal du poste : Un responsable de l’animation apporte un soutien direct et étroit au directeur de l’animation et au(x) superviseur(s) de l’animation. Il continuera à fournir des séquences d’animation à la production, mais dans une mesure plus limitée que les animateurs de son équipe.

Responsabilités Principales

• Capacité à résoudre des problèmes visuels et analytiques en espace 3D.
