Software Developer

Overview

A leading Canadian Headwear supplier since 1983, with offices in Montreal, Toronto and Vancouver, is seeking a dynamic Software Developer to join our I.T. / Operations team located at our St-Laurent head office.

Responsibilities

The successful candidate must be capable of performing the following tasks:

• Design, program, test and document software and infrastructure components using .NET and SQL Server technologies.
• Develop, integrate and expand internet and intranet applications, including client/server and web applications.
• Maintain all internal systems and infrastructure components.
• Create and maintain SQL databases.
• Install and configure new and existing computer hardware and software systems.
• Perform system and network administration tasks as required.
• Undertake other IT-related tasks as required.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent, with 5 years of relevant experience.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in the development of .NET applications.
• Strong client/server and web development skills: (VS.NET, ASP, HTML, VBScript, JavaScript, XML, SQL Server).
• Strong analytical ability and creativity.
• Strong teamwork skills with a positive attitude.
• Bilingual (French and English).
• Self-starter with strong communication skills.
• Working knowledge of Linux/Unix (asset).
• Microsoft Internet Information Server (IIS) knowledge (all aspects).
• Training certificates in WEV programming / Database programming / Network Administration (asset).
• Strong problem-solving ability.
