Overview

Great Foods is seeking a Foodservice Sales Manager to establish and grow our foodservice presence in Canada. This is a business development role starting from scratch – the ideal candidate will be a self-starter who can identify opportunities, open doors, and build lasting relationships with distributors, restaurant chains, catering companies, and foodservice operators.

You will work closely with our leadership team to develop a go-to-market strategy, create a pipeline of opportunities, and position Great Foods as a trusted supplier in the Canadian foodservice industry.

Location, Travel & Type

Location : Canada (Full-Time, In-Office)

Travel : On the road minimum 2 days per week visiting customers and prospects

Type : Full-time

Reporting to : Freddy Yahchouchi

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a sales strategy to grow Great Foods’ presence in the Canadian foodservice market.
  • Identify, approach, and secure new accounts including distributors, restaurant groups, caterers, and institutional buyers.
  • Build and manage a pipeline of qualified opportunities from scratch.
  • Conduct in-person customer visits at least twice per week to establish strong client relationships.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with new accounts.
  • Provide regular updates on market trends, competitive activity, and customer feedback.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure product availability, quality, and service standards are consistently met.
  • Represent Great Foods at trade shows, customer meetings, and industry events.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of proven sales experience in foodservice (distributors, restaurant chains, catering, or institutional sales).
  • Strong network of contacts within the Canadian foodservice industry.
  • Demonstrated success in new business development and securing accounts from scratch.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • High level of self-motivation, independence, and resilience.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and travel regularly to customers.
