ADMINISTRATION TECHNICIAN Role at Collège LaSalle, Montréal

Overview

As an administrative technician, you are responsible for carrying out various technical work of an administrative nature for the direction of studies and mainly for academic administrative support, particularly in areas related to the management of financial and material resources and school organization. You can also assist the staff as well as the users of the service concerned.

Status : Temporary full-time position for 12 months

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to members of management;
  • Using appropriate software, carry out analyses, extractions, specific operations and reports to enable controls or compliance with current procedures;
  • Produce reports on changes in school enrolment and utilization of premises;
  • Design, adapt and follow up on digital forms as needed;
  • Process requests for changes to academic premises;
  • Carry out transmissions relating to student files;
  • Coordinate operations in conjunction with different departments such as IT, support teams, etc.;
  • Program and compile the results of the student assessment according to the College's guidelines;
  • Deposit the result of the student assessment in the teacher's file on the intranet;
  • Provide training and the required support regarding the procedures of the academic sector and the school organization and the use of the various software to the persons concerned in these operations.

Requirements

  • Hold a Diploma of Collegial Studies (DCS) in Administration with appropriate field of specialization or, in the field of office automation, a Diploma of Collegial Studies (DCS) in Office Automation with appropriate field of specialization or a diploma or attestation of studies whose equivalence is recognized by the competent authority;
  • Knowledge of the higher education environment;
  • Proficiency in French language (spoken and written);
  • Professional proficiency in English language (spoken and written).

This role involves frequent interactions with clients and internal and external partners on both a national and global scale. Therefore, professional proficiency in English is a requirement for this role.
