Job title : Business Development Executive – Aerospace Sector

Location : Montreal, QC

Our client is looking for a proactive and strategic Business Development Executive to drive expansion in the aerospace and defense industries across Quebec and North America. This opportunity is ideal for a professional with strong industry knowledge and connections within the aerospace industry.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities within the aerospace and defense sectors, with emphasis on Quebec and North American markets.
  • Build and execute strategic plans to attract OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers.
  • Leverage existing networks and industry insight to elevate the company's brand and market reach.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Operations, Finance) to prepare winning proposals and secure new accounts.
  • Represent the company at key industry events, trade shows, Aero Montreal forums, and other networking venues.
  • Prepare and deliver tailored proposals, RFQs, and client presentations.
  • Track sales performance and key metrics through CRM tools, ensuring accurate pipeline and opportunity management.
  • Offer ongoing market intelligence and feedback to support service innovation and growth planning.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in business development or strategic sales within aerospace or a related technical field.
  • Direct experience working with or selling to major aerospace OEMs or Tier 1 suppliers.
  • In-depth understanding of aerospace supply chains, procurement cycles, and the Quebec aerospace ecosystem.
  • Strong relationship builder with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills; confident in translating technical concepts into client-focused solutions.
  • Background or familiarity with engineering or manufacturing environments is an asset.
  • Bilingual in French and English.
  • Willingness to travel across North America (approx. 1 week / month).
  • Experience with CRM systems and pipeline tracking tools.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field—or equivalent professional experience.
