  • For this role, as we are hiring for short-term contracts, we require candidates to have their PR, Citizenship or an open work permit and be located in Montreal. Please note this is an entry level role into Production.

Job Description

The VFX Production Assistant provides support to the post-production team and ensures that the workflow runs smoothly. They are responsible for performing administrative tasks and liaising with various departments to ensure successful communication between the team.

Responsibilities

  • Liaising with the Production Team on a daily basis and assisting them when needed.
  • Ensure the Show calendar is up to date.
  • General administrative duties such as setting up client calls (CineSync), tracking Daily Absences and Vacations, maintaining the Absences email thread, and taking notes in morning Production Meetings.
  • Coordinate with the editorial & data teams to ensure the organization of assets and materials.
  • Help prepare the Vis Suites and equipment for meetings and dailies when in the office.
  • Maintain project files, ensuring they are organized and up-to-date as the client data champion.

Job Requirements

Essential Skills

  • Prior experience in a Production Assistant role.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with the Production Team.
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Excellent organization skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel & Word; Google Suite including Gmail, Sheets, and Docs.
  • Proactive, diligent, and meticulous.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Fluent in English, both oral and written.
  • Technical literacy.
  • Curiosity about the VFX Pipeline & Workflows.

Desirable Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in VFX, Film, Media production, or related field.
  • Some knowledge or understanding of VFX processes and terminology.
  • Previous experience using Shotgun (Shotgrid).
