For this project, you will be working on the simulation of satellite systems for orbits. The larger team is working on cloud implementation; you will be testing the platform itself.

What you'll do

  • Develop system and sub-system verification matrices against system requirements.
  • Coordinate and participate in system-level testing activities including test planning, execution, and reporting.
  • Develop / maintain test cases and test beds required for various test scenarios.

What you'll need to get the job done

  • 5-10 years of relevant experience (academic and professional combined).
  • gRPC / gNMI or NETCONF experience for automated network device configuration.
  • JSON, JSON IETF, XML, YAML, PROTO, and REST APIs for data exchange and automation workflows.
  • Experience with VMs: Kubernetes (POD) and Containers (Docker).
  • The successful candidate must be able to work in Canada and obtain clearance under the Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP).

What will make us REALLY love you

  • Traffic generators such as Spirent / IXia, Test Center, tcpdump, and iPerf.
  • Strong understanding of OSI layers, TCP, UDP, IP networking, routing protocols, and network optimization.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Preferred: Experience with Python or Ansible for network automation, or scripting experience.
