Manager, Food Services

Temporary management position in food services within a major law firm. Six-month contract in Montreal. Competitive salary (60–65k). Team supervision, catering coordination, and variable schedule based on operational needs. Strategic role in a professional bilingual environment.

Responsibilities :

  • Manage the work of food service and housekeeping staff, including schedules, replacements, and vacations.
  • Plan menus with various caterers, place orders, and coordinate equipment rentals when needed.
  • Ensure food service during firm meals and events (breakfasts, lunches, dinners, receptions).
  • Maintain cleanliness of conference rooms, coffee areas, cafeteria, and lounge at all times.
  • Stock coffee stations with food, dishware, and required supplies.
  • Ensure proper functioning of kitchen equipment and common spaces.
  • Manage expenses related to food services.

What you will need to succeed :

  • Diploma from the Institut de tourisme et d’hôtellerie du Québec or equivalent training.
  • 10 to 15 years of experience in a similar role, ideally in a professional or legal environment.
  • Excellent professional communication skills in French and English.
  • Bilingual (English and French) to assist clients in both languages.
  • Strong customer service orientation and attention to detail.
  • Solid interpersonal skills and ability to solve problems quickly.
  • Team spirit, proactivity, and adaptability to a changing environment.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to set priorities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook and common office tools.
