Summary

We are hiring a hands-on Scala developer responsible for delivering high-quality code on a big data platform. The role includes unit testing within automated test frameworks, automated DevOps releases, and documenting technology solutions related to transaction monitoring, customer activity review, scenario optimization, and other transformation activities. The candidate will collaborate with senior stakeholders and technology teams to define and influence the strategy for our next-generation solutions, driving innovation while ensuring regulatory compliance. The role involves working with a global team of developers to develop in-house solutions for data processing needs in financial crime control applications.

Responsibilities

• Understand and implement tactical or strategic solutions for business problems.
• Engage with stakeholders to understand business needs and technological requirements.
• Define and derive strategic solutions and identify tactical solutions when needed.
• Develop technical design and solution documents following Agile (SCRUM) standards.
• Conduct data analysis to support development and business needs.
• Perform unit testing of developed code using automated BDD test frameworks.
• Participate in testing to validate and approve technological solutions.
• Adopt automated release processes across environments following MS standards.
• Execute automated regression test suites and support UAT for developed solutions.
• Collaborate with other FCT & NFRT teams using collaborative techniques.

Eligibility Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in Java full stack development.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience as a Scala / Spark developer.
• Proficiency in SQL with RDBMS (DB2).
• Experience in code optimization for performance, scalability, and configurability.
• At least 2 years of experience in HDFS platform development projects.
• Skills in data analysis, profiling, and lineage.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• Experience working in Agile environments.
• Understanding of Actimize ACTONE platform features.
• Development experience on Azure Cloud platforms.
• Knowledge of Behavior Driven Development (BDD).
• Possession of Big Data technology certifications.
• Experience in Machine Learning and predictive analytics.
