Job Description

CIMA+ is looking for a Senior Telecommunications Engineer to join our team specializing in active and passive network infrastructures (outdoor networks, FTTH). You will play a strategic role in the planning, design and coordination of telecommunications projects. As a technical reference and project manager, you will actively contribute to the evolution of digital infrastructures, while ensuring the technical quality and performance of the solutions proposed. This position is for a professional with a solid understanding of telecommunications networks, combined with proven experience in managing multidisciplinary projects, all within a structured, collaborative framework. The work is carried out in hybrid mode, with a flexible home office among our sites in Quebec.

Primary Responsibilities

Ensure the technical design and production of plans and specifications for telecommunications projects, mainly in infrastructure architecture and outdoor networks (fiber optics, FTTH, backbone).
Supervise engineering deliverables in collaboration with in-house teams (engineers, technicians, draftsmen).
Participate in drawing up tender documents and analyzing proposals.
Contribute to strategic planning and project management: coordination of stakeholders, adherence to budgets and schedules.
Write technical and analytical reports, and participate in the development of innovative technological solutions.
Coach and support technical resources in their professional development.
Collaborate actively with customers, partners and stakeholders to ensure smooth and effective communication.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, telecommunications or related discipline.
Minimum of 10 years' relevant experience in telecommunications engineering.
Experience in large-scale deployment projects an asset.
In-depth knowledge of active networks such as telecommunications equipment, and external telecommunications networks (fiber optics, FTTH, backbone).
Proven experience in technical project management.
Member in good standing of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ).
Excellent communication skills, in both French and English: bilingualism is an essential requirement for this position, as it enables effective collaboration with our various stakeholders.
Proficiency in design tools and specialized software (AutoCAD, GIS, etc.) - an asset.
PMP certification - an asset.
