Role Overview

We are seeking a proactive and experienced IT Infrastructure Analyst with a strong emphasis on networking to join our team. The candidate will be responsible for implementing and maintaining enterprise network infrastructure, ensuring high levels of availability, performance, and security across both cloud and on-premises environments.

Roles and Responsibilities

Network and Systems Infrastructure

  • Implement and manage secure, scalable network infrastructure, including firewalls, switches, routers, wireless solutions, and load balancers.
  • Install and wire IT and network equipment as part of infrastructure deployment and maintenance.
  • Configure and support networking protocols and services such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, BGP, VPN, SD-WAN, and SASE.
  • Administer Windows Server environments (physical and virtualized using VMware, Hyper-V, and Azure VMs).
  • Manage core infrastructure services including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and file/print services.
  • Support hybrid identity environments involving Azure AD and on-premises AD.

Cloud and Hybrid Connectivity

  • Deploy and maintain Azure networking components, including Virtual Networks (VNETs), Network Security Groups (NSGs), VPN Gateways, Azure Firewall, and ExpressRoute.
  • Collaborate with cloud and infrastructure teams on hybrid connectivity, cloud migration, and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) initiatives.

Security and Compliance

  • Enforce network access controls, segment traffic, and conduct regular security assessments.
  • Coordinate incident response and system recovery efforts during outages or security events.
  • Ensure infrastructure compliance with cybersecurity policies and apply firmware, patches, and security updates consistently.

Monitoring, Automation, and Optimization

  • Utilize monitoring tools (e.g., FortiAnalyzer, PRTG, Azure Monitor) to ensure visibility into systems and networks.
  • Continuously enhance monitoring systems to improve responsiveness and issue detection.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts (e.g., PowerShell) to streamline recurring infrastructure tasks.

Collaboration and Support

  • Support and back up the Senior Network Administrator in resolving requests and major incidents and collaborate on delivering new projects.
  • Serve as an escalation point for internal teams (System Administration, Cybersecurity, and Applications).
  • Contribute to internal knowledge sharing and technical upskilling.
  • Coordinate with third-party vendors for advanced troubleshooting, license renewals, contract oversight, hardware procurement, and equipment disposal.

Documentation and Project Delivery

  • Maintain detailed and up-to-date documentation including network diagrams, configuration baselines, SOPs, and internal knowledge articles.
  • Support infrastructure projects, including upgrades, migrations, and expansions of sites or services.
  • Contribute to the development and testing of disaster recovery (DR) and business continuity (BCP) plans.

Proactive Engagement and Availability

  • Demonstrate a proactive approach to infrastructure management, service reliability, and continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrate flexibility to support critical incidents or project-related tasks that may occasionally require availability outside regular business hours.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or equivalent professional experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience in network and systems administration roles.
  • Expertise in Fortinet and Cisco platforms.
  • Proven hands-on experience with Azure networking technologies and hybrid cloud connectivity.
  • Comprehensive understanding of core networking and routing protocols (TCP/IP, VLANs, VPN, BGP).
  • Solid experience in Microsoft infrastructure administration (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy).
  • Excellent troubleshooting, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Fluency in English (French is considered an asset).
  • Occasional travel and a valid driver’s license are required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CCNA or Network+ certification is a plus.
  • Experience with Operational Technology (OT) and industrial networking environments.
  • Proficiency in Infrastructure-as-Code tools (e.g., Terraform, Bicep).
  • Working knowledge of Linux systems and container.
