Responsabilités
- Design new standard and customised products.
- Evaluate and respect established budgets.
- Follow quality procedures related to product design and engineering.
- Select materials and components according to applications.
- Promote a high level of quality within the department.
- Maintain standard documents.
- Participate in product testing and installation for assigned projects when required.
- Provide technical support to other departments.
- Document projects according to department procedures.
- Maintain a problem-solving attitude.
Education + Experience Required
- Bachelor's degree in industrial design or any other program/experience deemed relevant.
- 5 years of relevant product design experience.
- Experience in the lighting industry (or related industry) will be considered an important asset.
Qualifications + Skills Required
- Proficiency in Solidworks.
- Be bilingual, French and English, spoken and written. The incumbent will be required to interact daily with international colleagues, customers or partners who speak only English.
- Spanish spoken and written language an asset.
- Ability to organise to manage a multitude of priorities and tasks; results oriented.
- Demonstrate good communication skills, autonomy, initiative and adaptability.
- Demonstrate creativity and an ability to innovate.
- Be a good team player and open to change.
- Commitment to excellence in customer service.
