Your contribution!

Reporting to the Senior Director – Development, you will be responsible for leading renewable energy project development and acquisition activities primarily in Quebec, focusing on wind and solar projects. The successful candidate will be involved in all stages of project development, from initiation to commissioning.

Your day-to-day!

• Identify, initiate, and capitalize on new business opportunities (new projects and project acquisitions) and make recommendations for senior management decisions;
• Collaborate with internal project specialists and supervise external consultants to support project development tasks such as land acquisition, resource analysis, environmental studies, electrical integration, etc.;
• Maintain and coordinate development activities and timelines;
• Participate in evaluating regulatory, technical, and budgetary aspects of projects;
• Develop agreements and partnerships with Indigenous communities, municipal, and community authorities;
• Lead land negotiations to secure land rights for projects;
• Negotiate commercial agreements to maximize value creation;
• Manage project expenditures, budgets, and report progress to management;

Your skills, our requirements!

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, engineering, sustainable development, or related field;
• At least 3 years of experience in project development or similar roles;
• Experience in partnership management, contract negotiation, and managing development processes (land, environment, permitting, interconnection, finance, stakeholder engagement);
• Proven expertise in wind and/or solar project development;
• Understanding of electricity supply proposals and key project contracts (PPAs, interconnection agreements, supply contracts, etc.);
• Strong analytical, financial, and communication skills;
• Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams and manage multiple priorities;
• Bilingual in French and English, written and spoken.

• Position based in Longueuil, Quebec, near the Longueuil-Université de Sherbrooke metro station;
• This is a P2 level position.
