Job Overview:
The Senior Media Planner manages media planning by preparing and presenting media plans, proposals, and analysis. Collaborating with an integrated media planning team, the role ensures that the product is based on insights and experience, leading to flawless media executions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare, write, and present integrated media plans, proposals, and analysis that meet client objectives and exceed the brief.
- Evaluate media opportunities, trends, and issues of interest to clients.
- Manage client expectations regarding schedules and deadlines effectively.
- Develop skills to manage client conversations and expectations efficiently.
- Stay updated with the latest from major media partners.
- Ensure all media plans align with the agency's values, philosophies, and processes.
- Maintain media plans and evaluate campaign performance regularly.
- Build and sustain strong client and partner relationships by demonstrating responsibility, reliability, and resourcefulness.
- Coordinate the media buying process to deliver exceptional results.
- Oversee media buy administration and maintenance.
- Assist in training junior staff on tools and processes.
- Manage client budgets and ensure they stay on track.
- Prepare accurate and timely client finance reports and budget control reports (BCRs).
- Support the creation of campaign post reports.
- Develop media Point Of Views (POVs) and evaluations.
- Source and assess proposals from media partners as needed.
- Continuously develop knowledge of the media landscape.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Educational background in Marketing and/or Advertising is advantageous.
- Mid-Senior level experience in integrated media planning.
- Experience in an advertising agency is beneficial.
- Familiarity with media research tools (e.g., Clear Decisions, Vividata, Neilson) and media tools (e.g., Prisma).
- Client service orientation.
- Curiosity and passion for continuous learning.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective time management and prioritization skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Proactive problem-solving skills.
- Ability to build relationships with media partners.
