Lainco is recruiting a 3D Modeler-Draftsman for its Boucherville location.

Job Summary

Reporting to the chief draftsman, the 3D Modeler-Draftsman plays a central role in the success of our projects.

As a 3D Modeler-Draftsman, your challenges will include :

• Interpreting the correspondence between different disciplines of project construction (structure, architecture, mechanical, and subcontractors);
• Creating 3D models with connections (STD connections) and applying engineer sketches (calculations);
• Participating in project kickoff and intra-team coordination meetings;
• Drafting Technical Question & Answer (QRT) documents to address with project consultants;
• Participating in planning meetings with clients and consultants as needed;
• Interpreting and incorporating changes or information from subcontractors of the general contractor;
• Preparing primary steel purchase lists required for the project;
• Occasionally creating 2D workshop drawings if needed internally.

What makes you unique to Lainco :

• Possession of a professional diploma in building drawing;
• 2 to 5 years of experience in steel structure (an asset);
• Knowledge of SDS2 software (a strong asset);
• Knowledge of TEKLA software (an asset);
• Excellent plan reading skills;
• Autonomy, initiative, positive attitude;
• Ability to work in a team;
• Manual dexterity, meticulousness, and pride in work quality.
