We are seeking a Business Intelligence Engineer to join our Business Intelligence team in Montreal.

The role involves leveraging data to enable autonomous, data-driven decision-making.

Your day as a Business Intelligence Engineer

• Build & maintain Power BI reports & dashboards
• Develop and understand RLS modules, maintaining existing ones
• Create business cubes to curate datasets
• Conduct data analysis initiatives to support business needs
• Translate enterprise data structures into reporting designs
• Work with Data Marts in Azure Synapse and SQL Server
• Adhere to best practices in Power BI report design and BI deliverables
• Collaborate with Data Engineering teams
• Explore data science initiatives within the current framework
• Engage with various business stakeholders
• Identify gaps in reporting and BI across domains
• Operate within an Agile framework

Our ideal candidate

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field, with BI / Data science projects at university
• 1-2 years of experience in organizational BI
• Experience in data science applications is a plus
• Basic knowledge of BI concepts
• Experience with reporting tools like Power BI, Tableau
• Knowledge of Data Lakes, Data Warehousing, Data Marts is a plus
• Understanding of Data Modeling, Data Transformation, normalization
• Proficiency in SQL, willingness to learn advanced SQL; familiarity with SQL Server, Oracle is a plus
• Experience with Azure Synapse, Data Factory, Data Lake, SQL Data Warehouse is a plus
• Familiarity with Python, R, Java
• Willingness to stay updated on BI technologies, especially Power BI
• Bilingual in French and English, with strong communication skills
• Passion for data and deriving actionable insights
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
• Attention to detail and data validation skills
