Job Description :
The Research Assistant (or Associate)
- will play a key role in the implementation, analysis, and dissemination of research study results aimed at improving precision oncology in the field of gynecological cancers. They will actively contribute to projects involving wet lab (preclinical studies / models, cell culture, animal studies) and dry lab (cancer genomics and pathology) studies. Through these contributions, the Research Assistant (or Associate) will gain experience in conducting biomedical studies as well as participatory research with collaborators.

Duties and Responsibilities :
Work directly with Principal Investigator to design, develop and execute bench experiments
Analyze and synthesize experimental results autonomously (tables, figures, etc.) to derive scientific conclusions
Assist in submission of research grant applications
Mentor or support junior staff and trainees in the team
Qualifications : Experience
A degree with experience in biomedical research AND at least 2 years of research experience
Essential wet lab skills such as cell culture, DNA / RNA / protein isolation, Western blotting, immunostaining, etc.
Extensive experience with in vitro assays is required, additional familiarity with animal models is an advantage
Familiarity with genome editing techniques
Experience analyzing basic biostatistical data using basic software (e.g., GraphPrism, SnapGene)
Mastery of writing scientific reports / articles / presentations
Able to communicate scientifically in English (spoken and written)

Position :
Full-time position, 35 hours per week
Contract : 1 year (renewable)
In-person work (not remote)
Competitive salary and benefits according to LDI policies (level + echelon) based on diploma and experience
Schedule : Daytime, Monday to Friday (9 : 00am to 5 : 00pm, to be discussed and confirmed)
Probation period : 120 working days
