POSITION : ADMINISTRATION TECHNICIAN

DEPARTMENT : ADULT EDUCATION AND VOCATIONAL TRAINING

SALARY : FROM $ TO $ AN HOUR DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

Kativik Ilisarniliriniq (KI) is a school board offering educational services in the 14 communities of Nunavik.

FUNCTION & DUTIES :

Under the authority of the Coordinator of the Adult Education and Vocation Training department, the Administrative Technician is responsible for performing various administrative operations. As a part of their duties, the employee will assist professionals and senior staff.

  • Makes accurate accounting entries.
  • Processes financial requests.
  • Monitors transactions made by others, detecting and correcting errors.
  • Assists Project development agents with their files, resolving issues with files / claims.
  • Follows up on files with KRG.
  • Prepares agenda, attends meetings and prepares draft minutes as required.
  • Updates files in Cloud (SharePoint) ensuring all information is current and accessible.
  • Maintains agreement / contract / budget transfer / claims files.
  • Updates FMPro
  • Ensure completion of files with all associated backups.
  • Resolves and follows up with Finance regarding invoicing and claims issues.

QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Diploma in Collegial Studies in administration or equivalent. The Board may, at its discretion, waive any or all of the afore-mentioned qualifications if it finds a suitable candidate who is a beneficiary of the James Bay and Northern Québec Agreement (JBNQA) and who accepts, as a condition of employment, to follow a training plan determined by the Board.
  • REQUIREMENTS :

  • Fluent in 2 of the 3 languages of the Board (Inuktitut, English or French)
  • Experience working in Continuing Education would be an asset.
  • WORK SCHEDULE :

    35 hours per week from Monday to Friday - Partial telework is possible.

    CLASSIFICATION / SALARY / BENEFITS :

    In accordance with the AENQ collective agreement for support staff, this position belongs to job category 4211 : from $ to $ an hour depending on qualification and experience.
