Freelance Virtual Event Manager, Japanese / English speaking

TransPerfect, the world’s largest provider of language and technology solutions, is seeking a Virtual Event Manager to oversee virtual and in-person events in the pharmaceutical and healthcare sectors.

Overview

We are looking for local freelance event supporters / coordinators in the East Coast US and Japanese regions.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience with virtual / hybrid events or live chat support, especially in high-pressure environments.

This role involves customer-facing responsibilities, with training provided by the UK-based team. Post-training, the candidate should be able to work independently outside UK business hours.

Key Responsibilities :

• Set up and configure virtual events on the Brandlive Studio platform based on the event brief.
• Support technical rehearsals, upload content, and assist with speaker onboarding.
• Design webcast layouts and manage live event operations according to the run-of-show.
• Operate slide decks, manage multimedia, and execute the webcast during live events.
• Provide live support, monitor chats, and manage interactive tools.
• Handle post-event follow-ups, data analysis, and issue reporting.
• Communicate professionally in English with clients and stakeholders.
• Experience with online events / webinars and digital production.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Teams, Outlook, and Planner.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multitask.
• 1-3 years of relevant experience.
