Job Summary

The Manager of Standards Research is part of the Standards Research team, responsible for enhancing and expanding CSA's standards portfolio through high-quality research. This role involves managing research projects, collaborating with external and internal stakeholders, and promoting research findings.

Responsibilities

Understand the academic, government, and industry research environments, including key stakeholders and funding opportunities.
Provide expertise in research methodology and publication standards, advising internal and external teams.
Manage research processes, ensuring adherence to procedures, risk mitigation, and timely delivery within budgets.
Oversee diverse research projects, develop and maintain relationships with various stakeholders, and facilitate project approval, publication, and promotion.
Ensure the quality of research outputs through oversight of all project stages, including report development, editing, and legal review.
Collaborate with marketing and other internal teams to promote research findings and establish thought leadership.
Communicate effectively with internal and external parties to support project success.
Anticipate and address project risks, proposing solutions as needed.
Contribute directly to research projects with your expertise.
Support program KPIs by ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget, maintaining high standards.

Experience and Education

Graduate degree (Ph.D. preferred) in science, engineering, health, or related fields.

Minimum of 5 years in a research or standards environment.

Experience managing research projects and publishing research.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear reports.

Ability to work across diverse topics and collaborate effectively with various stakeholders.

Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
