Position : Chief Technology Officer

Location : Montreal

We are partnering with a dynamic and fast-growing e-commerce company that designs and sells innovative, high-quality consumer goods. With an ambitious roadmap ahead, they are undergoing a strategic restructuring and are now hiring their first official Chief Technology Officer to lead all things technology - from infrastructure to innovation. This is a key leadership role in a modern, collaborative environment where you will have the chance to optimize existing systems and build new tech strategies from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities :

• Architect and oversee all technology infrastructure including website (Shopify Plus + custom integrations), CRM, ERP, and e-commerce back-end, data platforms and reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau)
• Lead and mentor the IT and engineering team
• Own the company's full technology roadmap aligned with business growth
• Work closely with the marketing, product, and digital teams to integrate personalization engines and marketing automation, execute omnichannel strategies including email and SMS
• Manage DevOps and system reliability ensure uptime, speed, scalability, and performance, oversee CI / CD, testing pipelines, and cloud infrastructure
• Drive system integration across ERP, CRM, fulfillment, payments, and customer service platforms
• Use data to inform product decisions and improve user experience
• Maintain a strong focus on cybersecurity, compliance (GDPR, CCPA), and best practices
• Manage tech budget, vendor relationships, and strategic partnerships

What You'll Bring :

• 5+ years in a CTO or senior technology leadership role
• Proven success in a direct-to-consumer or e-commerce environment
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Shopify Plus platforms
• Strong understanding of website architecture and front / back-end development, systems integration and automation (ERP, CRM, 3PLs, etc.), DevOps, cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, or similar)
• Experience working with marketing technologies (Klaviyo, SMS, Meta, Google Ads)
• Ability to lead and grow high-performing engineering and IT teams
• Comfort being hands-on when needed while driving strategy and innovation
• Strong leadership and communication skills - able to collaborate across teams and present to C-suite
