APS is an accredited Canada-wide union representing approximately a thousand professionals and supervisors across the country at the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation and the Société Radio-Canada.

Position : Coordinator / Administrative Assistant

Responsibilities

Reporting to the General Manager, main tasks include :

  • Create, revise, and proofread various documents (correspondence, presentations, meeting minutes, reports, contracts, forms, etc.).
  • Process incoming mail and documents, forwarding them to responsible parties.
  • Respond to information requests via email, telephone, or in person.
  • Coordinate and facilitate the circulation of information internally and externally.
  • Schedule appointments, meetings, and events.
  • Assist in organizing activities, events, and travel arrangements.
  • Make reservations for travel, accommodations, equipment, and materials.
  • Update the website with new documents and information.
  • Establish and maintain filing and archiving systems for information management.

Profile

Candidate must hold a DEP in administration or a similar degree, with over 10 years of relevant work experience.

Ideal qualities include autonomy, organization, rigor, resourcefulness, and stress resistance. The candidate should be trustworthy, discreet, and possess versatile skills, including :

  • Bilingual proficiency in French and English, both written and spoken, with strong writing skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of IT and digital tools, especially office software (Office Suite, Google Workspace).
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with union management.
  • Strict confidentiality when handling sensitive information.

Conditions of Employment

  • A healthy and pleasant working environment.
  • Annual salary between $40,000 and $50,000.
  • Part-time schedule of 28 hours per week, with a hybrid work model: 70% teleworking and 30% in-office attendance.
  • Meetings primarily in Montreal, with occasional travel to Toronto and Ottawa.
