This is a hybrid role with a mix of in-office and remote work. Work arrangements will be discussed with hiring managers per departmental guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop new SEO growth initiatives for Radio-Canada properties and measure their performance.
  • Perform technical audits and suggest improvements.
  • Monitor Google Search Console (GSC) and resolve SEO issues.
  • Ensure content optimization (metadata, internal links, formats, redirections, etc.).
  • Work on the overall Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) strategy to optimize our content for LLMs.
  • Monitor search trends with GSC and Ahrefs to identify trending content and opportunities.
  • Conduct keyword research.
  • Develop migration strategies as needed.
  • Perform competitive analysis to identify market opportunities.
  • Develop and provide regular reports on search performance.
  • Monitor changes made to search engine algorithms and adjust SEO strategies accordingly.
  • Monitor the latest SEO news and developments, and share them across the organization.
  • Help share best SEO practices within the design / UX, development and editorial teams.

What You Bring

  • University degree in a relevant field.
  • Five years’ SEO and content strategy experience in a digital organization.
  • Knowledge of SEO and GEO best practices.
  • Knowledge of AI and automation tools.
  • Experience working in a media organization an asset.
  • Excellent command of written French.
  • Advanced knowledge of Google Search Console, Ahrefs, Semrush or other SEO tools.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Analytics.
  • Knowledge of Google Workspace tools.

Please note this is a 12-month contract position, renewable annually. This regular position is not a consulting assignment but a long-term opportunity with attractive CBC / Radio-Canada employee benefits.
