RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF THE MUHC

The Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (RI-MUHC) is a world-renowned biomedical and hospital research centre. Located in Montreal, Quebec, the Institute is the research arm of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) affiliated with the Faculty of Medicine at McGill University. The RI-MUHC is supported in part by the Fonds de recherche du Québec - Santé (FRQS).

Position Summary

We are seeking a Research Assistant who has expert knowledge in Prime editing. Experience working with Prime editing is necessary, along with substantial knowledge about designing pegRNAs and generating cell lines with prime editing.

General Duties

Under the direction of the immediate supervisor, the incumbent:

• Work with the principal investigators to design and conduct projects focused on the implementation of prime editing for mutational creation and correction,
• Liaise with external collaborators,
• Engage in administrative duties related to projects,
• Assist with reports, manuscripts, and grant applications.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills,
• Ability to work independently or with teams with minimum supervision.

Additional Information

Status : Temporary, full time (35-hour workweek)

Pay Scale : Commensurate with education and experience. $49,722.40 - $92,346.80.

Work Shift : Monday to Friday 8:00 am to 4:00 pm

Work Site : GLEN Site, 1001 boul. Decarie
