How You’ll Make a Positive Impact
The UX Designer contributes to improving the usability of GIRO products. In collaboration with development teams, product management, and project teams, the UX Designer designs user interfaces using best ergonomic practices and established standards.
Your Main Responsibilities
- Conduct interviews and workshops with users and internal experts to analyze needs and understand the product usage context.
- Analyze and document user and interaction flows.
- Design the user experience of software applications through conceptual mockups and clickable prototypes, in collaboration with UI designers.
- Conduct usability testing with users.
- Write interface specifications.
- Stay up to date on trends in human-computer interaction and user interface design methodologies.
- Collaborate with other stakeholders (product management, documentation, development, etc.) to achieve business objectives.
- Apply and promote internal standards and best practices in user interface design.
THE SKILLS THAT WILL MAKE YOU AN ESSENTIAL MEMBER OF OUR TEAM
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in user experience design for web and mobile applications in a medium to large enterprise environment (portfolio required).
- University degree in user experience, cognitive ergonomics, or a related field.
- Demonstrated understanding of user interface design principles, best practices, and technical limitations across platforms.
- Experience with prototyping tools such as Figma or Axure (a strong asset).
- Experience organizing and conducting usability tests and requirements gathering or co-design workshops.
- Experience in designing, managing, and using a design system.
- Understanding of basic front-end languages: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript… (an asset).
- Ability to explain design concepts clearly to both clients and internal teams, and to justify design decisions effectively.
- Motivation to stay on top of the latest trends in the field.
- Analytical mindset, attention to detail, and sound judgment.
- Strong organizational skills and autonomy.
- Proven ability to collaborate within a team and with leadership.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Bilingual in English – regular interactions with English-speaking external clients.
