Summary

The Head of Aviation Ground Operations (YUL) reports directly to the VP - FBO Operations and manages all ground operations at Execaire's YUL facilities. The role also serves as a subject matter expert for the SVP - Aviation Ground Operations & Maintenance across the country.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee ground operations staff, scheduling, aircraft support activities, refueling, grooming, and customer service.
  • Manage hiring, training, and development of ground operations staff in coordination with HR and Training.
  • Administer collective agreements, handle grievances, and manage personnel development.
  • Oversee ramp, hangar, and GSE operations and maintenance in YUL and GND.
  • Manage fuel supply and compliance with Shell requirements, including audits.
  • Draft and oversee tenant agreements with legal and finance support.
  • Contribute to financial targets, budgets, and audits.
  • Coordinate sales efforts with corporate sales teams.
  • Address SMS issues, lead OH&S initiatives, inspections, and incident reports.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance and successful audits.
  • Lead IS-BAH certification and oversee quality assurance.
  • Support security procedures and protocols.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in aviation management or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 7 years' experience in FBO / ground operations, with at least 4 in management.
  • Strong knowledge of airport groundside operations, safety, and regulations.
  • Proven leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Customer service excellence and relationship-building abilities.
  • Experience with budgeting, revenue, and cost control.
  • Fluent in French and English (spoken and written).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.
