We are currently looking for two (2) permanent full-time P&C insurance translators to join our Quebec translation services team (hybrid work).

Responsabilités

Reporting to the Manager, Translation Services, the translator will be responsible for translating primarily insurance-based content developed for the PI & Digital Contact Centre Shared Services, from English to French. The incumbent will also adapt content in Canadian French, linguistically and culturally, in line with brand and communication standards.

What can you expect in this role?

  • Translate P&C insurance documents (e.g., personal insurance, underwriting, systems, broker and direct channels, call center) adhering to deadlines and quality standards.
  • Translate various materials (e.g., guidelines, procedures, manuals, training materials, eLearnings, videos, articles, scripts, job aids, notifications, communications, letters, newsletters, townhalls, presentations, forms, reports), maintaining content, context, and style, considering the audience.
  • Collaborate with other translators, communication specialists, and subject matter experts of the PI & Digital Contact Centre Shared Services.
  • Serve as a linguistic and cultural advisor, perform quality control (proofreading) to ensure error-free, brand-compliant final products.
  • Participate in business and project meetings, providing translation considerations for content planning and timing.
  • Review translations by peers.
  • Conduct terminological research to develop and maintain terminological databases.
  • Utilize translation tools and resources efficiently.

What do you bring to the role?

  • Degree in translation (English to French). High proficiency in English to serve clients across Canada.
  • At least five years of experience in a P&C insurance translation role.
  • Fluent in French and proficient in English.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and translation tools.
  • Effective management of multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to handle confidential information responsibly.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Autonomy, rigor, attention to detail.
  • Team-oriented and sociable.
  • OTTIAQ certification is an asset.

Salary range is $55,800 - $102,800.
