About Us

A very well-established construction company in the West Island of Montreal is seeking a Project Estimator to join their team and replace a key member who is transitioning out of the role. This is a strategic position for someone serious about taking the next step in their career.

What You'll Do

• Accurately estimate material, labor, and equipment costs for a variety of construction projects.
• Analyze drawings, technical specs, and related documents to prepare precise and competitive bids.
• Develop initial project budgets, suggest cost-saving solutions, and contribute to bid strategies.
• Collaborate closely with project managers, site superintendents, and subcontractors to gather key information.
• Identify risks and value-engineering opportunities within project scopes.
• Conduct quantity take-offs, source unit prices, and prepare detailed cost breakdowns.

What You Bring

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Proven experience in construction estimating — preferably in building construction (not just specialty trades).
• In-depth understanding of general contracting, including materials, labor, and the logistics involved with each project.
• Proficiency with estimating software and general computer tools.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
