Your challenges ?

The role involves the following tasks and responsibilities :

  • Design mechanical components for antennas, payloads, or space electronics units;
  • Understand customer requirements;
  • Propose concepts that meet requirements;
  • Select / design components to meet constraints;
  • Integrate concepts from electrical, materials, structural, and thermal engineering disciplines into a 3D model;
  • Develop / review manufacturing drawings, assembly, and parts lists;
  • Evaluate system costs and establish schedules;
  • Monitor activities of component suppliers;
  • Support integration and testing of components into higher-level assemblies during design and manufacturing phases;
  • Develop mass budgets;
  • Present concepts to the customer.

What do we expect from you ?

The minimum required skills necessary for this role :

  • Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or equivalent;
  • 2 to 5 years of experience in mechanical design;
  • Bilingual (English / French);
  • Knowledge of geometric tolerancing and drawing standards;
  • CAD design skills (NX, Creo, or Catia);
  • Knowledge of the space industry;
  • Good communication skills;
  • Knowledge of MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and MS Excel.
