Job Description

As the Technical Designer, you will contribute to Laura's success by collaborating with Designers and Category Managers and producing Tech-Packs showing garment engineering for each style to ensure the successful creation of samples.

How will you support the team?

• Create domestic and import Tech-Packs.
• Request all fabric and style numbers for import and domestic orders.
• Prepare all Tech-Packs for hand-offs to Import Coordinators.
• Follow up on fabric, initial pricing, sampling, trims, etc., with vendors (necessary information to start the concept/collection).
• Work with Designers to create, execute, and maintain collection boards (using Illustrator & InDesign).
• Ensure all documents are up-to-date.
• Research trims, garment construction techniques, embroidery options, and provide trend ideas to Designers.
• Measure original samples when needed.
• Create initial specs when needed.
• Comment on prototype samples when needed.
• Participate in fittings when needed.

Qualifications

The people who thrive with us have / are:

• 1 to 3 years of experience in a similar position
• Experience with Adobe Illustrator
• A strong knowledge of fabrics and trims
• Knowledge of garment engineering
• A passion for fashion
