Reporting and Responsibilities

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Human Resources Technologies, the incumbent will work in HR information systems, propose technical solutions related to HRIS, and recommend innovative practices. Responsibilities include producing detailed functional and technical specifications, HR analytics and reporting, HR business processes, data governance, and HRIS access administration. A good understanding of operations and collaboration with business units are essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop functional and technical specifications for HR systems projects and deliver innovative solutions.
  • Develop and execute test plans and scenarios to ensure bug-free solutions and support HRIS upgrades and enhancements.
  • Collaborate with the IT team during implementation of new systems involving testing of HR modules.
  • Support managers with HR data and procedures, identifying issues and proposing solutions.
  • Collaborate on change management plans, including task aids and stakeholder training.
  • Work with external firms to analyze current situations, identify gaps, and implement solutions.
  • Maintain constant communication with stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance of the system with collective agreements and legislative changes.
  • Provide technical and functional support to HRIS end-users.
  • Train and coach new resources.

Data Governance

  • Improve HR data governance and processes to optimize services.
  • Ensure data integrity and confidentiality, complying with guidelines.
  • Develop and automate reports to validate data accuracy and implement corrective measures.
  • Collaborate for effective data sharing and process improvements.
  • Assist auditors with HR flows and data.
  • Optimize processes with HR projects and efficiency teams.
  • Support shared services and finance in resolving employee lifecycle issues.
  • Manage job structures and positions control.
  • Perform periodic data updates and annual data table updates.

Security and Access

  • Ensure data security within the system.
  • Manage access privileges for HRIS users.
  • Coordinate with IT on service groups and report access in Power BI.
  • Assist in security projects related to HRIS.

HR Reporting and Business Intelligence

  • Support quarterly HR dashboard production for management and board.
  • Assist stakeholders with HR data needs, including health & safety data.
  • Define reporting needs with end-users, including presentation, analysis, and training.
  • Maintain and support reporting tools and applications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant fields.
  • 6-8 years of experience in a similar role, with HRIS implementation experience in complex, unionized environments.
  • Experience with work process automation and optimization.
  • Project management knowledge (e.g., Agile, DevOps) is an asset.
  • Knowledge of HRIS systems like VIP, Workday, Ultipro, SAP, Cornerstone, etc.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and database languages like PL/SQL.
  • Knowledge of reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, etc.
  • Bilingual in French and English.
