About The Role

The Specialist, Offensive Security is responsible for testing the security controls, the network, and threat response. He / she works as a specialist employing red team techniques, tactics and protocols to validate security controls. The Specialist reports to the Manager, Offensive Security and collaborates with a team of technical experts across multiple locations and time zones.

What You'll Do Here

  • Conduct reconnaissance on network environment to build external landscape.
  • Conduct offensive security testing to ensure security controls and response actions are effective.
  • Employ attack strategies to simulate real-world attacks by threat actors.
  • Identify and exploit vulnerabilities in computer systems, networks, and applications to simulate attacks by threat actors.
  • Analyze and report on the results of security assessments and recommend improvements.
  • Maintain and update offensive security tools, technologies, and processes.
  • Provide timely and effective communications to internal stakeholders.

What You Bring To The Table

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Technology, Information Security, or related field.
  • Advanced knowledge in networks, security platforms, SOC, IAM, SIEM, DLP, EDR, Threat intelligence, Incident Response, and technical writing.
  • At least five years of relevant IT experience and three years in information security.
  • Knowledge of offensive security tools, techniques, standards, and regulations (e.g., NIST, COBIT5, ISO 27001).
  • Recognized security certifications (e.g., CEH, CISM) are assets.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Bilingualism in English and French is required for candidates in Quebec.
  • Legal eligibility to work in Canada.
