Azran Lawyers , located in Old Montreal, is looking for a Legal Services Agent to join our dynamic and committed team.

This role is designed for an organized, proactive individual with a solid understanding of legal procedures.

As a Legal Services Officer, you will play a crucial role in managing files, preparing legal documents, and supporting lawyers in their day-to-day tasks.

This position requires excellent organization, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with other team members.

Roles and responsibilities :

  • Case Management : Ensure the complete management of client files, including the organization, updating, and archiving of documents.

You will be responsible for ensuring that each file is complete and ready for hearings or client meetings.

  • Preparation of legal documents : Draft, review, and finalize various legal documents, such as contracts, settlement agreements, and pleadings.

    • You will ensure that these documents meet legal standards and the requirements of lawyers.

  • Administrative Support : Assist lawyers in managing their agendas, scheduling meetings, and organizing business travel.

    • You will also be responsible for managing calls and correspondence.

  • Legal research : Conduct legal research to support lawyers in the preparation of cases.

    • You will have to analyze the legal texts, case law, and articles of doctrine to provide relevant and accurate information.

  • Support for lawyers : Provide administrative and technical support to lawyers, helping them prepare files for hearings, drafting legal memos, and coordinating appointments with clients.
  • Communication with customers : Maintain smooth and professional communication with clients, answering their questions and following up on their files.

    • You will be expected to exercise discretion and professionalism in all your interactions.

    Requirements :

  • Experience : A minimum of 1 year of experience as a Legal Services Officer or in a similar role is required.

    • Experience in a law firm is a major asset.

  • Language skills : Excellent command of spoken and written French, as well as a good knowledge of English.

    • You must be able to write legal documents in both languages.

  • Technical skills : Proficiency in computer tools, including Office Suite and legal case management software.

    • Knowledge of Aliform software is a plus.

  • Personal qualities : Meticulousness, organizational skills, autonomy, and ability to manage multiple priorities.

    • You must also be able to work under pressure while maintaining a high level of accuracy.

  • Interpersonal skills : Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

    • You must be customer service-oriented and able to handle delicate situations with professionalism.
