How You’ll Make an Impact as a Business Development Manager
Creates and implements strategies to identify, prospect, and secure business opportunities to generate sales revenue growth and market penetration within specific geographic areas. Responsible for achieving overall sales objectives for new account prospects, vertical market penetration, and focusing primarily on higher-margin retail prospects and new business pockets within both active and inactive accounts. Develops account sales plans and approaches with managers for a minimum of 20 target prospect and active accounts. Identifies prospects and develops sales strategies to secure new business, focusing primarily on retail and higher gross profit margin prospects. Calls on prospective customers in assigned geographic areas to establish relationships and secure new business. Builds relationships with decision-makers to gain insights into customer needs and challenges. Conducts sales activities such as calls, face-to-face visits, competitive analysis, presentations, proposals, in-office demonstrations, campaigns, and follow-ups to meet sales targets and generate revenue. Partners with recruiting teams to align business development efforts with service delivery, driving revenue through successful contractor placements. Maintains a high level of knowledge about Experis, its programs, initiatives, technology, services, and pricing strategies to effectively bring value to the market. Collaborates with experts to enhance product knowledge and maximize sales opportunities. Conducts or coordinates sales presentations with managers and partners with staff to enhance sales efforts within designated areas. Participates in team sales calls, proposal development, pricing, and consultative selling techniques. Responsible for effective presentation of proposals and negotiations to increase order success rates from new customers. Meets regularly with managers to review sales efforts and ensure targets are met or exceeded. Prepares periodic reports as necessary. Develops strategic, solution-oriented sales plans to grow business within key accounts and partners with field management for implementation. This includes selling strategic products and solutions and negotiating pricing strategies. Engages and coordinates with the Field Organization to maximize revenue opportunities and customer satisfaction. Evaluates competitor products, services, and delivery to identify opportunities and develop strategies to enhance Manpower's value and increase revenue.
